Our School

Introduction:

St Stephens National School is a Catholic school which aims to provide a caring learning environment which facilitates the nurturing of each pupil’s full educational potential. The achievement of this aim informs all of the planning processes and activities which occur in our school.

Teachers and parents are partners in the children’s education, with co-operation and communication between home and school being vital ingredients in the educational process. We share the same aim – the well-being of the children in our care.

• to provide a calm, friendly, disciplined and safe environment conducive to high standards of achievement and behaviour; to provide a broad, diverse curriculum relevant to the needs of all our pupils.
• to promote the self development of the whole person and to afford each the opportunity to develop self-image and a sense of responsibility;
• to promote dignity, courtesy and mutual respect for all members of the school community.
